Chester County Jury Finds Defendant Not Guilty of Rape

In the matter of Commonwealth vs. White, Mr. Hoey was successful in convincing a jury that Mr. White did not in fact sexually assault a minor in 2009. At trial, Mr. Hoey confronted the alleged victim and challenged the credibility of his story. Under heated cross-examination, Mr. Hoey demonstrated that the victim had called 911 on at least one hundred occasions to falsely report criminal activity in his neighborhood. Further, Mr. Hoey was able to demonstrate that the alleged victim’s story was wholly inconsistent with the physical evidence presented by the Commonwealth. Following trial and his acquittal, Mr. White was free to leave the courtroom and returned to his family.
